Tourism Caledonia, a committee of the Caledonia Regional Chamber of Commerce, involves six people plus a Garden Tour subcommittee of six.

Tourism Caledonia has many functions, one of which is the Adopt-A-Barrel program in partnership with the Caledonia BIA and the Haldimand Horticultural Society. Tourism Caledonia runs the fundraising arm of Adopt-A-Barrel and works with students at McKinnon Park Secondary School’s Art Classes by conducting a poster contest.

The town-wide planting blitz takes place on a spring evening after Victoria Day when all three partners take part in making sure the flags and hanging baskets are in place and street barrels and planters are ready for the growing season.

Pitch-In Day Caledonia is also made possible through Tourism Caledonia. This is generally held the last Saturday of Pitch-In Canada Week. Participation comes from schools, churches, service clubs and individuals and by noon the entire community is clean of debris.

What’s Going On In Caledonia is a three times weekly brochure that Tourism Caledonia published in March, September and December.

The Travel Information Centre at Kinsmen Park is managed by Tourism Caledonia which is open from June to Labour Day each year. The Travel Counsellor is funded through Tourism Ontario, Service Canada, Tourism Haldimand and Tourism Caledonia.

Tourism Caledonia sponsors the Scotch Thistle Tourism Award which is presented each year at the Chamber’s Business Achievement Awards Dinner in February.

The Caledonia Fair in the fall and the Caledonia Home and Garden Show in the spring includes a Tourism Caledonia display at each one. Souvenir T shirts, golf shirts, sweatshirts, Caledonia post cards and brochures are available at the Chamber office and are part of the displays. Lucky Draw baskets are part of the displays at each show too.

As well, a Tourism Caledonia car is part of the Canada Day and Santa Claus parades.

Welcome to Caledonia signs with event messages are managed by Tourism Caledonia and its volunteers.

The popular annual Caledonia Garden Tour, the second weekend in July, features six estate and residential gardens. A subcommittee of Tourism Caledonia organizes the Garden Tour. In 2009, an area in downtown Caledonia was completely revamped with sod, brickwork and flower beds through profits from the Garden Tour. Other flower beds throughout Caledonia have been made possible over the years with net funds from annual Garden Tours.
